Conducting your analysis
Prior to the study of your project of creation of truffle plantation, the agronomic analysis of your soil is essential in order to know the physico-chemical characteristics that will allow us to conclude on the feasibility of a truffle field on the land in question, and, if necessary, the most suitable truffle species.
This analysis can also be carried out after planting,if it has never been carried out, or to check the characteristics of your soil, as part of a diagnostic post-plantation for example.
Entrust us with your samples:
- We take care of the analysis;
- You receive your results;
- Accompanied by our truffle expertise in a complete report.
You will find below our terms and conditions as well as our advice for :
- Sample collection;
- The number of samples to be analyzed;
- Sending the samples and obtaining the results.
If the agronomic analysis of your soil is favorable to truffle cultivation, we will be happy to offer you our support in the continuation and realization of your truffle project.

To find out more
- You sample your soil according to our protocol and send us your samples.
- We carry out the agronomic pre-analysis in-house
Estimation of the three key criteria :
– pH
– Chalk content
– Texture - We’ve put these results down in an explanatory note with our initial advice!
- You sample your soil according to our protocol and send us your samples.
- We carry out the agronomic analysis in the laboratory
Content of the analysis :
Granulometry: clay, fine silts, coarse silts, fine sands, coarse sands, water pH, KCl pH, total limestone, active limestone, organic matter, total nitrogen and C/N ratio, available phosphorus
Exchangeable bases: K, Mg, Ca, Na
Metson CEC and saturation rate - We assess your results and present them to you in a report and during an interview with our consultants!
Soil sampling protocol
- Define the analysis point on the site
- Define a 10m x 20m rectangle around the analysis point
- Sample 8 points around the analysis point in addition to the analysis point :
- Remove the top part of the soil to a depth of about 5 cm
- Remove the soil from the first 15 cm of depth depth
Do not remove the stones as the screen rejection is taken into account in the analysis
- Disaggregate and mix the 9 soil samples to make a single sample
- Place the soil sample in a resealable plastic bag
- Label the sample
Number of test points to be performed
For a site with a potential planting area of < 1 Ha and slope< 10%
➜ One analysis point is enough
For a site with a potential planting area of > 1 Ha and slope> 10%
➜ Several analysis points are required, the number of which depends on the characteristics of the site: homogeneity or heterogeneity of the soil, slopes, splitting up of several different plots, etc.
➜ In the event of heterogeneity of texture, structure or limestone content, the following analyses should be carried out1 soil sample per different area identified
